Heel Bar Buckle Set - Floral

These fancy heel bar buckle sets are a great choice if you are working on multiple projects or making a tack project that requires a variety of sizes of buckle.

These floral heel bar buckles are great for bridles but can be used on other tack items as well. They work best for Western style tack sets.

Each set includes enough buckles to make a bridle and breastcollar or two bridles (Traditional scale)

Buckle tongues are not included but are available separately (these can also easily be made from wire).

• 4x 1/16" buckles

How To Put Together a Heel Bar Buckle

Either use a premade buckle tongue or make your own. A buckle tongue is a long straight piece of wire with a small loop at the end.

Pass the loop around the centre of the buckle with the loop pointing down. The buckle should hinge so that it moves up at down at the front of the buckle.

Use a sharp blade to carefully cut a small slit in the centre of your leather lace (lengthways).

Push the buckle tongue through the slit in the leather.

Pass the leather down through the buckle.

Glue the leather down onto itself. You now have a working buckle!
