Colours
Important Proviso - Every show is different, every country is different. This is just a generalised guide, I have used splits at my own live shows to help guide people. Please check with individual show hosts before entering.
Below is a generalised guide to help you get your colour or workmanship entry in the right class. Under each colour there is a list of different classes in order. You should start with the top class and then if this doesn't exist move onto the next class and so on and so forth. The list is in alphabetical order.
For the purposes of this list I've included some of the commonly used colloquial names for horse colours, that means a few colours may essentially be duplicated. This is there to help people who may be using those names, it is perfectly intentional.
It is worth noting that if there is a class for that particular colour (e.g. Bay) then this is where it should go. Unless these are common I haven't included them. Always check for this first, particularly at a specialised show.
