Performance Entries
Important Proviso - Every show is different, every country is different. This is just a generalised guide, I have used splits at my own live shows to help guide people. Please check with individual show hosts before entering.
Below is a generalised guide to help you get your performance entry in the right class. Under each performance type there is a list of different classes in order. You should start with the top class and then if this doesn't exist move onto the next class and so on and so forth. The list is in alphabetical order.
Please note when showing model horses that subtle differences in class names can cause them to mean two very different things. There is a difference between 'Western Ridden' and 'Western Pleasure' just as the terms 'Mounted Games' and 'Pony Club Games' could mean two different things. Check with the show host if you are unsure.
It is worth noting that if there is a class for that particular performance entry (e.g. Western Pleasure) then this is where it should go. Unless these are common I haven't included them. Always check for this first, particularly at a specialised show.
