The Model Horse Shop
The model horse shop was a scene created in 2016. I wanted to create a miniature room style scene but do something a little bit different. What better thing to do when running a model horse business than create your very own model horse shop?
The shop featured a huge amount of detail, from teeny tiny Breyer boxes with horses in to second hand models and even a Schleich price guide! All the posters and pictures you see on the wall were submitted by model horse hobbyists and feature their own businesses and horses. There are even some vintage adverts for Julips and Isis models on there!
No detail was left out, there was a till with money, an iPad with a real POS system, miniature Chestnut Ridge catalogues and even miniature Chestnut Ridge magazines. There were mini whinnie surprise boxes, Breyer shopping bags, paint brushes and even a cat asleep on the counter. Everything a real shop would need. Of course it also featured a shop attendant (otherwise known as the mini Brendon) and two customers, one of which had a bag with their purchase in (and a catalogue of course).
This scene took home numerous awards including Supreme Champion at the Copperfox Gloucestershire Tour and BMECS Performance Champion 2016. One of my proudest ever hobby moments.
