Ideal Series - Pinto Saddlebred

The Ideal Series pays homage to the stunning artwork of renowned equine artist Orren Mixer (1920-2008) and his most popular subjects – horses! Each hand-painted piece in this series was inspired by one of Mixer’s famed “ideal” horse breed paintings.

Pintos - horses with large white patches on their coats - can be found in a variety of breeds, and the Pinto Horse Association of America has registered over 160,000 since its incorporation in 1956. The painting “Pinto” was commissioned by the PtHA from Mixer in the year 2000 and showcases the variety of breed types and disciplines pinto horses can be found in. This model takes inspiration from the stately bay pinto American Saddlebred found on the right hand side of the painting.

Why we love this model

The Hamilton mould is an extremely popular sculpt and this guy is something a bit different for the Orren Mixer series. Instead of being on the usual stock horse moulds this year they have gone for a gaited mould. A lovely bay pinto colour, he's going to be popular amongst both collectors and showers.

Packaging Information

This model comes in their original Breyer packaging. We will protect the box with bubble wrap and then ship in a cardboard box with padding. They will be well protected on his journey to you but if you do have any issues please just drop us an email at: catriona@chestnutridge.co.uk
