Cloud, a palomino Mustang whose life was chronicled in the 2001 Nature documentary Cloud: Wild Stallion of the Rockies, was born in the Pryor Mountains of Montana on May 29, 1995. They were part of a small band of wild horses with proven genetic links to Spanish and Iberian horses.

Discovered mere hours after his birth by Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Ginger Kathrens, Cloud’s adventures were recounted by Kathrens in a total of three popular documentaries and books and led her to found The Cloud Foundation, which advocates for the protection and preservation of wild horses and burros. Cloud disappeared in late 2016 and, despite great efforts to locate him, has not been seen since – he is now a legend of the Pryor Mountains and a symbol of America’s wild spirit.

This 30th anniversary edition of Cloud will bring the iconic stallion to a whole new generation of Breyer herds.

Why we love this model

Cloud is a real fan favourite, like many I have a selection of models in my collection that are portraits of this famous Mustang stallion, in fact one of my earliest Breyer models was the Fighting Stallion Cloud! So I'm really excited to see him back in the range for 2025 and on a completely new mould. Desatado is an unusual rearing Mustang mould and is a great choice for the famous Cloud. I love that the rear is more relaxed giving him a slightly kind appearance.

Packaging Information

This model comes in their original Breyer packaging. We will protect the box with bubble wrap and then ship in a cardboard box with padding. They will be well protected on his journey to you but if you do have any issues please just drop us an email at: catriona@chestnutridge.co.uk

Plastic free shipping is available on all our items. Please just add into your order notes that you would like plastic free shipping*. Items will be shipped with eco-friendly bubble wrap, paper, starch packing peanuts, cardboard boxes and plastic free tape.

Orders will not include thank you slip or advertising slip. They will still include your free gift. They will not have a sticker on the outside of the box.
